Supporting First Responders and Their Families


If additional assistance beyond the confidential professional and peer support services listed below are needed, First Responders and their family members can contact the First Responder Hope Line 24-hours a day. This free peer support service ensures you have access to a lifeline of support, allowing you to speak confidentially with trained specialists anytime, and links you to services that supports the needs of your family.


The First Responder Hope Line can be reached anytime by calling 866-4FL-HERO or for those not experiencing an immediate crisis you also have the option of completing an online request form HERE and someone will contact you within the next 2 business days.


If you are in need of immediate assistance, please call 988 for emergency emotional and crisis support. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 immediately.

  • Firefighter/Family Crisis and Support Line 24/7: 844-525-FIRE (3473)
  • CopLine website and 800-COP-LINE/800-267-5463 provides confidential, 24-hour law enforcement peer support hotline.
  • RedLine Rescue can provide a trained Peer Support or licensed clinician who is culturally competent with working with first responders. Redline Rescue is dedicated to the mission of serving firefighters and their families in times of need. Redline Rescue is a community of firefighters and professionals committed to serving those who serve tirelessly.
  • HERO/Hope for Emergency Responders Organizations warm-line, peer support line and website offering support and resources for first responders, their families and their friends. 844-833-HERO (4376) 8:00 AM – Midnight, 7 days a weeks
  • VOA|ReST 4 First Responders is a free, peer-to-peer small group support sessions designed to help First Responders process feelings of moral discomfort and distress while reclaiming strength and commitment to their profession. Virtual sessions with trained personnel and peers offered by the HCA Healthcare Foundation.
  • REBOOT First Responders - Clearwater is a 12-week, faith-based, peer-led course that helps first responders and their families heal from critical incident stress and trauma. Thursdays 6:30- 8:00 PM. New courses begin after each 12 week session is complete. Led by CPD Officer and FOP Chaplain Brian Hoxie. Register online or call 727-539-9551

  • Tampa Bay Psychology Associates is a psychological practice specializing in First Responders & their families.   • 360 Counseling is headed by Mrs. Cathi Long. Mrs. Long has a 20+ year of service to her country and community, first with the US Navy and the later retiring as a Detective from the Clearwater Police Department. Eligible for Mental Health for Heroes funding. (727) 804-8623
  • The Franciscan Center - Operation Restore is a 3-night, 4-day program held at the Franciscan Center in Tampa, right outside of downtown on eight quiet acres on the Hillsborough River. First responders receive personal, confidential treatment after experiencing critical incidents, line of duty deaths, and the general effects of pressure throughout their careers. 813-229-2695
  • UCF Restores is a nonprofit clinical research center and treatment clinic established to change the way posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related concerns are understood, diagnosed and treated.   • Shatterproof FHE Health - FOP vetted. Designed to help first responders overcome specific obstacles and increase their ability to manage emotions during stressful situations without turning to self-medication. Out of county- has Level 3: Residential/Inpatient Services available.  855-701-0748
  • IAFF Center of excellence for Behavior Health Treatment & Recovery: Advanced Recovery Systems - Dedicated to assisting firefighters and emergency medical technicians struggling with PTSD, substance abuse and other behavior health challenges. Located out of state. 833-799-1702
  • Aware Recovery Care (ARC) – Provides high quality, safe, trauma-informed, in home addiction treatment for First Responders and their families. The staff includes former First Responders that understand the specific needs of recovery for those in public safety and developed services to aid in client recovery including wellness planning for stressful shift work, PTSD counseling, critical incident debriefing and suicide awareness. 561-418-3262

  • How 2 Love Our Cops - An online resource to educate, encourage, and equip law enforcement families to thrive relationally, emotionally, and spiritually.
  • Spouse Support Group, by First Responders Foundation, is a clinician-led group open to spouses and adult family members of first responders. Individuals can attend a group whenever support is needed. The support group meets once a month for one (1) hour, the first Sunday of the month at 12:00 noon, via Zoom.
